Turkmenistan managed to advance to the second round of Olympic qualifying 2012 (03/09/2011) with a 4-1 aggregate win over Indonesia. Ruslan Mingazov be the only scorer in minute 25.
28,000 fans who packed the Ashgabat's olympic stadium to enjoy the victory over Southeast Asia on home soil as Turkmenistan built on a very impressive victory of their first leg 3-1 in Indonesia.
Eleven winners of these qualifiers and then join the 13 seeded teams, including Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, South Korea, and Vietnam. The 24 teams will then meet in the first round with home and away format (home & away), which is scheduled on 19 and June 23, 2011 to steal a ticket to London.
The 12 teams that qualify will then be divided into three groups containing four teams each. Group games were scheduled for 21 September 2011, 23 and 27 November 2011, 5 and February 22, 2012 and March 14, 2012.
Each group winners automatically grabbing a ticket to the 2012 London Olympics. While the runner-up from the third group will meet to fight a ticket playoffs. Match three runner-ups will be held at a neutral venue with robin format (Round Robbin) 25 to 29 March 2012.
