Computer manufacturer ASUS launched its latest high-performance server products RS724Q-E6/RS12, the latest flagship servers to meet the needs of high-performance computing based on the Intel (r) 5500/5600 6-core and 4-cores.
In a press release in Jakarta latest ASUS reveals that the server is equipped with a system of four nodes in size 2U chassis with 12 DIMM slots per node, offering a variety of functions, redundant power supply with high efficiency, hot swap during maintenance, remote management and ease of upgrades.
On the whole it is specifically designed to meet business and companies that need quick access to the performance.
Performance computing to the extreme with four nodes 2U form factor utilizing the ability of the processor series Intel (r) 5500/5600, RS724Q-E6/RS12 equipped with 4 hot-pluggable node itself in the form 2U server chassis, where each node supports 6-core CPU usage and 4-core, plus the availability of 12 DIMM slots supporting up to 96GB of memory.
All deliver high performance computing with four nodes form a compact 2U server, with a total of 48 core computing capabilities and the availability of 48 DIMM slots.
RS724Q-E6/RS12 also equipped with a power supply 1.600W 80Plus Double Platinum, for redundant power supply configuration that is efficient, with an average power efficiency of 88% (under load).
Ration of this abundant power to ensure stability and reliability for use in vital in the company, or even on high performance computing (HPC). Ration power to 1.600W available in redundant mode 2 +0, to companies that want to optimize power consumption.
Automatic load balancing also allows the two power supplies share the burden of use to maximize efficiency and power stability.
Interconnection of high speed with InfiniBand (r) and ease of maintenance Onboard QDR InfiniBand (r) QDR (40GB / s) with port QFSP make RS724Q-E6/RS12 suitable for use as an HPC that require low latency and transfer rate best.
This server provides useful features like hot swap for hard drive, fan and power supply, also nodes that are hot-pluggable, ease of service and replacement, without requiring a server offline. Each node is equipped with a separate panel to facilitate access, and to perform maintenance while other nodes remain operational.
RS724Q-E6/RS12 upgrade kit also supports the use of the ASUS PIKE (optional) using Pike or Pike riser card combo, to add support for SAS ports. Upgrading from SATA to SAS 2.0 support makes it faster, easier maintenance and enables the development of cost-effective.
Enhancements ASMB4-iKVM upgrade kit comes with an online graphical user interface, enables full remote control function on this server, while the ASUS software ASWM facilitate the implementation and management with a user friendly interface.
