U2 has postponed the release date of their latest studio album until next year, Rolling Stone reported.
This Irish band have been doing some recording sessions with two renowned producers, Danger Mouse and RedOne, for a new album, but the base of Adam Clayton stated that their sessions with RedOne not take place in accordance with what they are planning. Therefore, the new album will be released in 2012.
"We have held meetings and check the schedule to see if we can take extra time to work on the album. And we realize that we can not (take the extra time). Frankly, we all feel irritated. But it is felt the most prudent decision, "said Clayton told Rolling Stone.
He added, "We must focus on what we can do the most good, and the sessions we did with Danger Mouse is close to it. In addition to the usual things done U2, we also want to be in the club and making pop music, but the sessions that we are doing with RedOne not feel right. "
RedOne himself is a producer from Morocco whose real name is Nadir Khayat. He has received two Grammy Awards and was mentioned as the person responsible for the typical sound of music Lady Gaga. He has also produced some big name pop singer, like Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Nicole Scherzinger, Enrique Iglesias, and Mika.
